Welcome to God’s Instrument (or GI for short). So glad you wanted to learn more about us!
THE MAN BEHIND THE BRAND.
Our brand all started with a simple and spiritually lost guy – Daniel, our founder. This was his journey towards Catholicism:
“ I was born into a household that never really practised a particular faith. I felt lost spiritually and was having a difficult time trying to understand my own identity.
After spending my whole schooling life (12 years to be exact) in a Maronite Catholic school, I was always surrounded by a strong Christian Community. Our Priest gave me wisdom, my teachers gave me hope and, most importantly, my friends shared their love and support.
It was through this that my journey began.
With this ongoing exposure to Catholicism, I started to resonate with its beliefs and values. From the everyday teachings of the Bible to following the journey of the miraculous acts of the Saints, that is when I realised I was no longer alone. I’ve always been a part of something greater, a community that understood the love of God.
This was why in 2018, I was baptised at Saint Charbel’s Church – officially welcomed into the faith I knew I had always belonged to.
In July 2018, I travelled to Lebanon with many of my friends and it was during this trip, particularly whilst engaging on a pilgrimage on Saint Charbel’s Feast Day, where I realised how this beautiful religion had the power to empower, guide and influence others.
So, by combining my passion for graphic design and my faith, I wanted to create a brand that not only reflects who I am but encourages others to as well.
I have so much in store for GI and hope that this brand can be a gateway into bringing you closer to God.”
OUR PURPOSE
Based in Sydney, we at GI noticed that there wasn’t a lot of streetwear clothing that acknowledged, highlighted and, most importantly, celebrated the Catholic faith. As a result of this, everything we do is with one mission in mind: to make Christ known.
OUR MISSION
To do this, we plan to personally curate and design streetwear pieces that are of high quality, fashionable and relevant.
When worn, we aim to make the wearer feel empowered to freely express their devotion towards God, establishing a sense of community centred around the Catholic faith.
